What is happening out of our White House continues to shock and amaze. After talking with the President about his plans to counter the outrage of the horrific murder of the Jordanian pilot, a very good and loved man, King Abdulla flew back to Jordan in a rage. Our President had urged him to be patient. The King took decisive action and ignored the President’s stated passivity. I was a friend of King Hussein, from the days of being involved in the Mid East.

The US has gone through 4 Secretaries of Defense, 3 of whom have gone public, 2 heads of the CIA also gone public, the former head of the DOD, DIA, Defense Intelligence Agency, never happened before, went public, and 3 of the most accomplished Generals testified, all to tell that our President is not responsive to facts or action and has put the country at serious national security risk.

After a US citizen was beheaded, he played golf and joked around. He hugged Berdahl’s mother and showed the parents off while having released 5 top terrorist without consulting anyone or any agency…just ordered their release which was never asked for by any group as a part of the Bergdahl exchange.

He has attended only 40% of the National Security briefings and has called the briefers liars for not telling him the facts of ISIS or Ebola. The record and the officers tell otherwise. He stormed out of an important ISIS US threat briefing because the officers used the words….”Islamist Terrorist”.

The President’s National Prayer Breakfast statements indicate a destructive ideology thrown into the face of the most important faith gathering, historically a part of the very fabric of our country. That one statement will be his legacy.

I have just been told that the White House did not consult any of the experts/professionals at the State Department, nor any within the intelligence services, nor any of the governments departments, legal, transportation, or commerce about their plan to open relations with Cuba. The President just announced it without any understanding of the issues involved or the current state of Cuban leadership or economics. He just saved the Castros, saved the failed economy, and gave profit to them for nothing in return except to shine the promotional light upon himself.

 Military people are pragmatists and look to facts and not rhetoric.
