How can any decent American look at the Comey - Trump "Matter" (using Hillary's term to desribe an investigation) as anything other than a manifestaton of the decades old disease that has infested our Federal government and the media. What better example of collusion by these worms who are making their living reveling in this mess that they themselves have created, than the former head of our highest national law enforcement agency admittedly and blatantly "leaking" the results of an investigation (oops-- er' matter) to his media buddies. This is NOT meant to predict the outcome of the investigation - no one yet knows whose side of this issue is correct - the Special Prosecutor will decide. It is only to point to the irrefutable fact that Comey has certified himself as just one more weak-kneed carreer DC worm crawling around unfettered in the DC swamp.
A question for those who buy into Comey's positioning himself as the noble Boy Scout that he claims to be: ---- why didn't he do the noble and correct thing - go in private to the Attorney General and/or to the Congress on both sides of the aisle and/or to his buddy Mueller -the Special Prosecutor? Why was the purpose of his grandstanding - other than to protect his crummy reputation?
Trump must, at least, be given some credit for having been the first President to run and win on his repeated promise to drain the DC swamp. There can be no dispute amongst rational people - Comey should have been fired long ago.
For whatever it is worth, the following appeared on the internet after the above was posted - making the point that ordinary Americans don't need the DC talking heads and pundits to explain in great detail what is going on in the swamp or define a worm. We can smell the stench of the swamp from a thousand miles away and we really do know a worm when we see it.
