“Is The Deep State Winning” is an excellent characterization
of the brazen yet largely unopposed exercise of illicit power by the
Swamptilians and their minions. Alas, this title does not pose a rhetorical
question; rather is confronts a very substantive one.
First of all, the Deep State is very real – not as a formal Entity, but as a dominating, pervasive, and anti-constitutional Phenomenon. Its cohesiveness, perseverance, virulence, and disingenuous self-righteousness reveal an advanced state of operational maturity. Accordingly, it has remarkably achieved the still-tenuous imposition of a “New Normal” upon Americans. Upon due consideration then, one is tempted to ask whether the Deep State is indeed already winning.
While the Deep State viciously attacked President Trump from the outset of his campaign announcement, they are now raging on the margins of mental competence at his success in rolling back much of the New Normal. That accomplishment has involved a considerable restoration of authentic American Normalcy at some expense to the statist devolution of representative and constitutional governance.
It is vital to note that Deep State is not synonymous with administrative state, as inept and autocratic as the latter is (what mainly caused the USSR to collapse). Nor is the Deep State merely the face of self-serving bureaucracy, which necessarily resides to some degree in any institutional entity for practical operational purposes. Rather, prima facie evidence indicates that the Deep State is indeed an informally cohesive Shadow Governing Enterprise with an pusposeful and readily analyzable agenda. And the essence of that agenda is the diminution and dysfunction of America, and hence its conduciveness to statist control of a dumbed-down, demoralized, and socially balkanized population.
Moreover, the subject article’s lamented “absence of a national outcry” reveals the appreciable degree to which the Deep State has already succeeded in limiting, neutralizing, or marginalizing pro-American voices and initiatives. But now, President Trump has significantly rolled back some of their sedulous moves to vitiate America’s spirit, credibility, and prospects. No wonder the Swamptilians are raging, and their pathetic minions are attacking persons wearing MAGA hats.
Basically, the Deep State thrives on outlandish, irrational, and destructive acts; these variously attest to their inversion of values and morality. Higher economic growth rate and fuller employment are therefore discounted or deprecated because these are simply not part of the actual Deep State agenda. Worse, such salutary outcomes of the Trump presidency are at least impeding a gradual statist takeover of America – THANKFULLY.
Restoring and extending American Normalcy will continue so long as President Trump is in the House, and Real Americans will ensure that he does (for starters, a Red Wave this fall). Ultimately, the Deep State will not win, albeit in the near term, however, America will undoubtedly have to endure increasingly desperate and lawless excesses of the Swamptilians.
